Good day,

I am running System Shock 2 on Manjaro Linux using Lutris.

The game runs perfectly fine, however the movies show only a black screen. The movie sound does play however.

I tried the "multisampletype 8" fix where you put a semicolon in front of the line, but it did not work.

Perhaps a different runner for Wine (there is a lot to choose from)?

Thank you for any help.

can you play the movies outside the game? if not, you may need to get your codecs sorted out.

Everything plays perfectly fine when I run them outside the game.
maybe force windowed in cam_ext.cfg then.

I tried that, but the game does not run in windowed mode. Strange.
I should simply remove the semicolon in front of 'force_windowed' correct?
correct. well, SS2 linux compatibility is kind of a mixed bag, so in this case, you may just have to watch the cutscenes outside the game. not a big deal, the only two that really matter is the intro and the final one.

Yes. I think I'll do that for now.
Thanks.
