Just finished playing this game (SS2) for the second time, the 1st was when it was initially released. Yeah, I'm that old. I had forgotten almost everything about the game except the monkeys (heh) midwives and how darn scary it was and a fond memory of it being a great game. With the mods recommended the game looked incredible and played seamless.
Must say I am blown away by how good it is. Just incredibly immersive, frightening and at times frustrating. So glad I have this in my library
be aware that the instructions on gogs mod highlight for the game:
http://www.gog.com/news/mod_spotlight_system_shock_2
are wrong, saying to unpack mods directly into the data file.
according to voodoo47:
"each mod must have its own folder inside the BMM folder, then you activate them with BMM as needed."
just wanted to spare anyone else the errors I got, the mods run perfectly the other way. i have a ticket in for them to change the directions pending
