Hello.

Is there a way to change the fov in this game?

Playing at 1920 x 1200 is just terrible with the default fov.

Thanks.

It's somewhere in the cam_ext.cfg file in your System Shock 2 folder. Default is 90.
Do I need to remove the ; ?
Or leave it?

Thanks.
; means it's commented out, ie:

;this_value=disabled
vs
this_value=enabled
; at the beginning means the variable is not active, so if you want to use it, yeah, you need to remove the ;
What is the recommended fov for 16:9 aspect ratio? (1920x1080)

It's just a matter of opinion, but I like 90. It's wide enough that I don't get sick, but narrow enough that I don't get noticeable distortion.

120 is working great for me on 1920x1200 or 1920x1080

110 - 115 works great at 1680x1050

My personal preference though.

90 for 4:3

100 for 16: 10

105 for 16: 9

These are the highest FOV values you can set before you start to get concave distortion.

105 works great for me. Thank you sir!

Uh, guys, try readings the docs. As it says right in cam_ext, right above the value you change to set the FOV:
; FOV, specified for reference 4:3 aspect ratio, widescreen automatically adjusts this value
;
(default is 90)
So if you set a "widescreen" FOV, you're going to end up with a ridiculously wide field of view. Which also means the default FOV isn't "terrible" at 1920x1200, because it automatically get scaled out.

Yes it does so manually scaling isn't really needed.
