I just read Eileen Brennan died from bladder cancer. I am pretty sure she was the actress for the voice of woman that leads you through most of the game in System Shock 2. I can't confirm this, as I can't find a credit for the part. But her voice is very identifiable. If you know the answer, please share.

Dr. Janice Polito was voiced by Esra Gaffin. She also voiced some other minor characters in the game.

Thanks for the clarification. She also sounds a bit like Kate Mullgrew (sp?), the Captain from Star Trek Voyager, although I never mistook it for her.
