This post is to help keep everyone up-to-date on the issues we currently know about and are trying to address.

Fixed the rare inability to save on 1TB+ Hard Drives,
>> SPOILERS AHEAD >> - Fixed the timing of the final boss so that it takes slightly longer to cover the screen.

I don't know if anyone else had something like this, but it's worth to post here just in case someone have the same issue I had.

I was unable to save the game when installed it from a pendrive, the game worked fine but it just answered I didn't have the space for saving.

Then I realized the pendrive wasn't plugged, put it back and I could save.

The problem was solved by unistalling the game and copying the install directory to the hd and reinstalling it.

if i understand the message correctly, you stated 4 problems and only 1 solution - addition of french/german audio files
i suggest renaming the thread to "pls help us solve the immediate crash after start problem" to get more alphatesters
unsatisfied paying customer: shame on you to ask money for such crap, i hope your business will die soon and somebody else takes your place

Anyways I do not have the "crash at start" issue that others have been having (I dont know how widespread it is.) and the game seems to be running fine for me.

Read what he has posted so far and you will see that such a drastic post is well deserved - unfortunately.

Oh I have, trust me, but the small part of me that feels bad for him simply had to speak at that point.

Not very suprising but no, you did not understand the message correctly.
They have stated four problems. Two of them were not reproducable for them until now (you tell me how you can fix something that does not occur on your system), one is already fixed and for the last one (the one you experience afaik) they gave several POSSIBLE solutions which already helped some people who were experiencing this bug. Their solutions did not help you so far but they are not giving up which is why they ask people to send them crashdumps to investigate the issue further.

But since you just WANT to behave like a little kid just keep on ranting until you die. Hopefully GOG will get back to you soon so you can get your money back and will finally shut up. I love the community here - unfortunately you behave quite differently than the usual community members. There were several people who really wanted to help him - that was the time when there was a part in me too feeling bad for him. But not only does he brush off everything whenever somebody wants to help him, he also insulted those people. That is when this little part just died.

wtf ? ... they are trying to fix this and you want them to go out of business ?

other dev teams dont communicate "flaws" directly and all you can do is hope that there will be a fix

i have had day one problems with other games too ... but this isnt a good excuse to behave imature like you do

why dont you send them your "Crashdump.txt" and "shockdump.dmp" so that the problem gets fixed asap for everyone who got this kind of problem ? ... hate is so much easier hmm ?

so far, i've reported all problems/did everything on my side to help them solving it; the last patch (which is unfortunately not marked as such - as different one from the previous one announced in different thread) worked for me for ~10 minutes of playing; seeing other ppl (i mean ppl who were able to run the game previously and were not influenced by the bugs at each start but only under some circumstances) have this bug reappearing randomly under what seems like completely unrelated/random conditions, i have NO TRUST in them being able to actually make this new engine look NOT LAUGHABLE from usual standards point of view; i wish them luck though - but not for my money, which they still owe me

Not ALL people found X to be crap but only a few. A thing you really like to neglect.

Maybe some day when you are older (and according to the things you wrote here I would think you are not that old) you will understand why the world is much more complicate than you like it to be. To wish people to go bankrupt just because of one game breaking bug of one little game is ridiculous - especially if they are trying to find out where the problem lies.

What on earth are you talking about? There is nothing laughable about the enhanced edition. There is a problem SOME(!) people are experiencing on which they are working on. And you really cry over less than 10$ which you will get back guaranteed if they don't success to fix the problem for you too? If I would not despite you for everything you've said so far I would give back your money so you would finally keep your mouth shut but no, you have not deserved this even if it would lead back to the calm argumentations I am used to here on GOG.

And please: learn proper quoting. You are answering to something so this should be IN FRONT OF your answer.

(And now you will probably again just insult me, the devs and everybody else and then you will go on as before - so go at it - I don't know why I even bother)

Let's just get one thing straight, the crashing issue that affects SOME people in System Shock Enhanced Edition is NOT a Batman Arkham Knight type of disaster which affected almost everybody. That game got pulled down because it was a problem for most people. And that was a major AAA title.

And you do realise that if they went out of business it would never get fixed? You must really hate System Shock if you want that to happen, but then you bought the game so clearly you don't hate it. See how contradictory this is? How about wishing for something more constructive instead?

For all the people experiencing the "crash after one second":

I had this, and it's now working, my machine is an AMD Phenom 2 X4 3.2 GHz, 16GB RAM, Geforce GTX

I wrote to GOG support and got an answer rather quickly (but with an excuse that it took so long) :-)

Support had the following suggestions:

"Run as administrator" - didn't do it - not necessary.

"Add to trusted list in AV/Firewall" - didn't do it (btw. I only use the Windows Firewall and MSSE).

"Reinstall the June 2010 DirectX runtime package, then use the DirectX web installer."

I reinstalled the 2010 DirectX (already had it), don't know if it had any effect. The DirectX web installer page is currently broken - displaying some Windows 10 download tool, so I skipped that one.

It's always off on my machine.

I did that, although my drivers were pretty recent. Don't know if it had any influence.

I did that, and I strongly suspect that this did the trick.

I can only say that now the game runs like a charm. And compared to SSP in higher resolutions the performance is just fabulous! Many thanks to the people working on the EE and GOG support. I hope this post may help other people with problems.
