When people say this game supports co-op, do they mean online co-op or offline co-op. I really hope its online co-op because I don't have any friends to play with.

You can play online, for example by using Hamachi. There is no game lobby or something equivalent, though.

They mean LAN (Local Area Network) co-op - as in there's no way to have two people play on the same PC, so you'll need two networked PCs. To play over the internet you'll need some VLAN (Virtual LAN) software such as Hamachi or Tunngle - then you can connect to your friend's PC over the internet as though it were on a local network.

Thx for the replies guys I don't know to much about the software you mention, but I'd really like to play this games single player and multi-player modes. I've yet to purchase this game but I might today if I can find some people to play with online.

Contrary to popular belief, the game can also run over the Internet if you forward the appropriate ports and trigger port. However, this is generally considered less reliable by the community as it has a lower success rate than a good Virtual Private Network like Hamachi. Hamachi's been going downhill lately though, so if Hamachi gives you trouble you might want to give connecting via the net a try. If you want to do that, be sure you forward these ports and set up a trigger port (google it if you need to):

TCP & UDP: 2300-2400
TCP & UDP: 28800-28900
Trigger port: 47624 (outgoing and incoming)
