After enabling the shields and disengaging the safety interlocks. on my way to the mining laser control room I died during the viral mutant ambush, and when I respawned this issue started. Qutting to menu, quitting the game and restarting, did not fix it. It's stuck in the save now.

I have no idea how to send bug reports to Night Dive, other than email perhaps?

Try crouching once, that fixed it for me at least.
