My wife and I are trying to play System Shock 2 on separate computers, and have run into a few issues.

The first time she encountered enemies, they were all frozen. When she reloaded the game they seemed to work fine, but don't take damage or react when she attacks them, even though the wrench-swing animation plays properly. They can still damage her. Reloading doesn't fix this.

I can't even get that far, as whenever I try and insert the power cell in the beginning (by dragging it from the inventory onto the receptacle), it instead is thrown at the receptacle, bounces off, and lands on the floor. I've tried resetting my controls, reinstalling the game, etc, and nothing seems to work.

Any clue what's going on with any of these issues?

PS: So much thanks to Good Old Games for making SS2 available! Hopefully SS1 will arrive at some point in the future :P

Aaaaand everything's fixed.

Her enemies started taking damage after a few tries, though now her audio's kind of bugged. Hopefully that fixes itself as well.

My problem turned out to be that I hadn't charged the power cell.

I'm currently having the enemy problem too. The enemy won't take damage by the gun or wrench but can still hit me. Hopefully it will work itself out likes yours did.

make a quicksave, use winzip to pack up save_14 folder, upload to sendspace and share the link.
