I have a new MacBook with an i7 intel processor and 16 GB memory. I purchased Syndicate Wars few days ago but sadly its running waaaay to fast. I have some very good happy memories playing this game but I can't play it due to the speed it runs. Does any one know how to slow it down on a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.13.3

Open Syndicate Wars.app/Contents/Resources/game/Syndicate Wars.app/Contents/Resources/Syndicate Wars.boxer/C Syndicate Wars.harddisk/SWARS/PLAY.BAT with a texteditor. You should see this:

cycles = max limit 20000
@SMACKPLY.EXE c:\SWARS\QDATA\INTRO.SMK
cycles = max limit 120000
@main /w /g

^ lowering the second max cycle value (bold) should slow down the game
