After finishing a couple of missions the game froze when it should have showed the mission report (how many civilians were killed, etc.)

The best way to 'move on' is to turn off and turn on fullscreen (ALT+F4)

This seems to be a general glitch between the game and DOSBox, and is not limited to the GOG release.
