Regarding SW. Totally pointless curiosity and I did check the forum and manual 1st. Is there any reason to change the color of your units other than looks? I perosnally prefer the orange/yellow look though I suppose that is more of a spring shade and may not go over with the populace if I was to don that shade in the middle of winter. :-)

Colors chosen for your Agents will change color for all agent-type enemies in the game to your color. Church Disciples colors will not change because white is Epoch faith color alligned to them.
I think it's more of a multiplayer thing, shame the enemy agents didn't have different outfits in swars.
This does work for everyone else right? F10 will swap the colors of your agents during single player; it actually gives you 4 or 5 choices.

Yeah, it's just unfortunate that it changes the enemy agents too.

And especially weird since even in the original Syndicate you could freely choose a color and the enemies would never have the one you've picked.

But in first Syndicate the only difference it was color of their dyed hair and there were other syndicates existing. In Syndicate Wars Eurocorp is the only one Syndicate that exist, created and monopolized entire World, so all technology, CHIP, UTOPIA belongs to them. So Agents are bio-engineered cybernetically enhanced clones, not recruited people and their outfit is one-line produced.

Gothic ones are cool though, but Standard is good for bringing back their old color scheme. I like new default interface layout, much better than PS1 one. Oceanic is too simple and Veiled too dark.

True, but the hostile agents are part of groups that are trying to separate themselves from Eurocorp (at least some of them) so it would make sense if they changed their look in order to underline their independence. And also game design-wise it would just be a good idea if you could instantly tell hostile agents apart from yours just by looking at them. And personally I think that it's rather technical reasons why the developers made all agents look the same (resource handling and stuff). I believe that they would have eventually made the enemies always look different than your agents if they'd had more time to polish the game.
