It's all in my Music directory which I added to the game, but I've noticed that some artists and albums just aren't listed... eg, Dream Theater and Metallica are both missing.
I had this same problem, and in an attempt to figure out the reason for it, I closed symphony and checked to see what type of audio files my songs were. All of the formats of my music were supported by the game which was weird, and then when I reopened symphony, the songs that were previously not showing were there and playable. I'm not sure what changed when I closed symphony, but maybe you should give this a try.
Restarting the game didn't help; I've discovered that the game apparently thinks that some files don't have tags and lists them as un-tagged (and the game doesn't show the proper title/album/artist info either). I've even resaved the files in Picard but to no avail...
Hey guys,
Yes, if there aren't contributing artist, album or song title tags, we go by the file name. If one or more of those exist, we list the song by THAT name.

Does that make sense? I have in our list of features a request to be able to see the file name somehow.

I hope this helps!

Also remember to do a Continue (Rescan) if you add new tracks.
For whatever it's worth, here's the tag information from one of the afflicted files (the whole album in particular doesn't show up in Symphony as tagged): http://pastebin.com/a0ga90uR

I tag everything with MusicBrainz PIcard (I take some effort on MusicBrainz as well that the information is correct, too..), and you can see the artist, title, and album tags all there, but the game doesn't actually recognize them.

Ahhhh, the FLAC bug. SORRY! We have a bug where artist=Metallica vs ARTIST=Metallica is not working. I need to fix the actual FLAC tag decoder to take non-uppercase characters for the tag name.

This will be fixed asap! A (very lame) solution is to rename all the artists=... album=... to ARTIST=... ALBUM=..., etc.

Again, sorry about this!

I'm also having an issue where Symphony is missing a bunch of my music albums. They are in MP3 format and they are properly tagged as ID3v1 and ID3v2.3. A re-scan doesn't seem to fix this problem. Is there any other way for the game to see these music files?
