My ship seems to just randomly skip back to the bottom of the screen. Is this normal? It makes it extremely difficult to have any kind of a strategy for a song. I'll be shooting things then go up to grab the bonuses when there's no enemies to hit me and, bang, teleported to the bottom of the screen again... Super annoying... Is this normal? If it is, then it's a completely game breaking mechanic. If it is not, then how do I fix it?

EDIT: I'll add - The respawn location seems to be random.

EDIT AGAIN: Ok, it seems to be some kind of a processing issue. My ship seems to jump in whatever direction I was moving the mouse at the time... I already set my vsync options, is there another one I should do to fix this?
