It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Is there any way to select a network share? The file browser won't even let me type in an smb: path directly.

I have all my music on a network storage box, like a lot of other people do. I really don't want to have to either copy files to the local computer or hard-map a drive letter to the network share, which clutters up file requesters for everything.

UPDATE: I mapped my network share to a drive letter, so it would show up in the fole browser. However, when I try to play a song off that network drive, Symphony gets to the point where it ought to start the level, and crashes to desktop.

I tried other network locations; playing files off my Synology DS411j worked, playing them off the Mac mini worked, playing them off the Time Capsule fails. (Of course, the Time Capsule is where my files are, natch.)

(Addendum: My network file issues aside, this is a pretty darn neat game!)

Hello!
We don't normally support network drives as they gave us HELL during testing. I know this is an issue for some people, so in the future we are going to look at what we can do about this. Sorry about this!!!

Oh yes, network shares ARE hell. But some way to play remote stuff would be nice. Also iirc my usb stick was not recognised? That is more problematic imho.

I guess you need to split your indexing for removable devices and a bit more :) Also useful feature to have.

Hey Neikius,
On the next update, the removable drives SHOULD return. Funny enough, we ARE allowing network shares in the drives... I'm not sure why yours isn't showing up unless you are "tricking" windows to make it think it is something else... OR, for some odd reason you are "tricking" it with the drive letter, etc...

AH, then I just realized that you probably access it via a UNC name. I am not sure we can support that; in the meantime, can you try assigning a drive letter to the network share's main music folder?

Matt
True, letter mapping seems to work. I didn't pay much attention...
