OK, I got to the last boss thinking 'yay! I've almost beat the game'...
Do you guys think this thing is even beatable? When it's health goes half it just begins teleporting right on top of the player. Maybe that's not a bug, but the game seems just unfair, after 5/2 boss, which is much, much easier. Have you even playtested the thing?

The track is 'Flagcarrier' by Machinae Supremacy. Wouldn't call it too intense...

Yes, I've experienced this as well. It's really frustrating and I had a great weapon combo / setup and was able to take his health down fairly quickly, but then the teleporting started.

Beat him yesterday, but yeah he was a pain. The random teleporting at the end felt really cheap, because there's no tell. I couldn't see any way at all to tell where he was going to end up. A simple clue as to where he was going to teleport to would have done wonders to make the fight more bearable.

In the end, I just equiped all my lvl5 furia weapons and changed their orientation so that they all pointed forward. Defeated him with time to spare. Probably got lucky.

Considering I encountered him in Therion's interpretation of O Fortuna, it's kinda fitting that I'd win and lose due to luck.

I have encountered a glitch, I think. At the 5-2 boss. I tried to beat him, I had a few seconds left on the clock then it just froze and no matter what I did nothing worked. Then at the end the known message 'the demon got away' but I couldn't click anywhere...
Managed to beat the final boss now as well. He was a tough cookie. At the 2nd to last boss I had to take a different approach and go with destructive force.

Hey guys, we're looking into him freezing (he should NOT do that... he should continue to move).

On the difficulty part... well, he IS the last demon :). Most people are complaining about the 4th boss...

But I'll see if we can tone him down a bit.

It was strange but I beat them all anyway. I remember people complaining about the difficulty of the witcher 2, which was made easier after some updates, yet I beat it just fine. I kind of like the challenge, but I was preparing myself for the demons by not playing a very fast paced song. But maybe that does not influence the demon....

My main problem with it is that difficulty does not grow gradually. It's like, 'hey, here are 14 easy bosses and one last that infinitely harder than all previous ones taken together!' Also, if there is a skill involved, it is generally a good idea to use previous bosses to prepare people to more challenging following bosses, especially if the are similar in some way, just like in your game.

The problem is that while the first and the second incarnations of 5th boss have some pattern I can follow, the last one does not. And it is really, really frustrating. If there is no specific pattern, how can you expect people to beat it in 2 and a half minutes? Let's say it straight: beating this last boss is a matter of pure luck. I've finally managed to beat it too while having 10 seconds left, but man I was lucky that day!

And when people talk about a game being difficult / unfair, I remind them of Jamestown. A perfect example of an extremely difficult game that IS NOT unfair. There is pattern to everything, there are a lot of bullets to dodge and a skill of dodging to master, but it has nothing to do with some random stuff that feels just unfair. That's what I mean.

If not for third incarnations of 4th and 5th bosses, Symphony is extremely well-balanced and I really, really like that. Now that I've beaten the game I think that it is even greater despite a couple of bosses that feel unfair, and for that, ECS, I thank you very much. :)

While I understand that the final boss in any game, especially a game like this, should be the most challenging obstacle in the game, this is the wrong kind of challenge. Every other boss in Symphony has a pattern or a tell so that you can use knowledge and skill to avoid their attacks. Unless I'm missing something, the 5-3 boss is just completely random. Your only hope is that he teleports in front of you and takes a hail of fire for the second or so that he's actually vulnerable. While, yes, clearly he's beatable, it's not very fun, and it's a different feeling from beating a difficult game or enemy, in that you're relieved that it's over, but you don't feel accomplished. You just feel lucky.

Edited to add that I love the hell out of this game, and thank you for making it. I hope what I said can be considered as feedback and not just complaining.

Hey guys!
Yes, he is random. I'm going to change that at the end of this week. I need to get a build to you guys that fixes some crash issues right now (and hopefully doesn't cause more!)

It's definitely on the list!

Just check it out. To be honest I needed approx. 20 runs but after the patch it "maybe" became easier or maybe I just got lucky here but super intense at least in the last seconds.
The last fight still seems pretty random to me and I get him teleporting right on top of me at about half health. The game is fantastic otherwise! I've really had fun playing and the soundtrack is pretty great, but that last fight is killing me. :(

Any progress to report on this issue? My 5-2 demon guy keeps pausing in his non-corporeal state. I wonder if it is the music. This one appeared on a song which is quite slow, gentle and quiet for the last couple of minutes.
I'm stuck on an earlier Demon that I just can't seem to beat...now I think my issue is that this demon has chosen a short track...about 2:08 in length and I am simply running out of time to beat it, even with Lvl 5 weapons. Is there a way to reset a Demon to have a chance at it on a longer song?
Worked it out - clear the song cache and the Demon will appear for the next song played after the clearing.
