Hi,

I can launch and play Syberia 2 under Window 10 but when I try to save, the game displays this message: "the game could not be loaded."

I tried to change the compatibility mode and run the game as administrator but it changes nothing.

Just to be clear, I have the save option in the menu. The game just cannot be saved. Also, the folder "Syberia 2 Saves" was created but remains empty.

Thank you very much for your help,

Georgeoous

I have a similar problem.

I'm using a Mac and bought the game a few weeks ago when it was discounted, but it doesn't save at all, always reloads at the same point early on in the game (it even reloads at that point when I just open the menu).
hi georgeoous.

when the game can't save in a folder i would check if windows is blocking cause the game has no access rights for the save folder. happened to me one time, its just a try.

an easy way, but it don't works always, is to rename the old folder and make a new empty one with the same name. start the game and try to save.
if this don't works you could add access rights manually to the folder by right-clicking the save-folder - properties/safety (sorry, i use the german version of windows, so i don't know how it's called in english). you could add access rights for "everyone", (full access, reading and writing) just for testing.

i hope it works, good luck.
After trying all combos I found a post that said set Properties on exe to Windows 98?Me, 640x480, Run as Admin ... and it saved right away!! Tony

Just removed the 640x480 and still works. So only compatibility for Win 98 / Me and Run As Admin were needed. This is on a Lenovo T410 with up to date Win 10
