i have NOT played the two games, i am interested in buying them, so i have a question before:
i have heard that syberia 2 ends abruptly or something, is that bad gamdesign or storytelling or something else bad? i dont want to play two games and in the end be left with an bad designed ending or a conclusion that doesnt satisfy
It would all depend on what you consider a satisfying ending to be. There is no faulty design issue, but Sokal made a narrative decision to end the game at the end of the main quest. You should not expect a text scroll explaining what everyone did afterward. The Syberia games are all about a series of small or private adventures in a big world, and the ending reflects that.
The ending is not that bad as some claim it to be. Get the games, they are very much worth the money.

By the way, afaik, Syberia 3 is in development, so that makes the ending even less bad, because it should continue from where Syberia 2 ended.

Oh hey,I didn't know that. Good news. Thanks!
I have played all of them. In my opinion the first could be also stand alone and the second too. The two game are beautiful, the first above all.
What's wrong with the ending? It tells the story to it's closure and I did find it more emotional than most adventure game endings. I have seen huge number of worse endings in adventure games and this one was actually rather good.
Same for me. The story comes to a conclusion, and a great one.
