When Kate goes to the main church door she disappears. I hear her walking, but the game freezes and I have to start over again. Any ideas?

Syberia 1 & 2 either gives graphic glitches on my Windows 11 machine, such as Kate’s face turn black or become invisible. I used WineD3D For Windows to overcome the issue. It does slowdown on the game startup, but it helps to make the game playable.
