Downloaded all 3 files separately with Firefox, no go. If I click off the "authenticate files" box I can get to the install, but it gets to 99% before saying that readme.txt is corrupted and that the installation is failed (nooo, not readme.txt!)
This is the second time I've downloaded it with the GOG.com downloader, and again, no go.
3 hours trying to get this to work, going to try in the morning. Running Vista 64, 4 gigs of ram, Radeon HD4870.

Are you right clicking the installer and runing that as administrator?

UAC is off, right clicking and running as admin does nothing. This is the fifth time I've downloaded Syberia, each time I restart my computer, reset router, turned off anything that would interfere.
And here's what happens when I skip the whole "check file integrity" or whatever bit and actually go straight to the install.
Gets to 99, and then...

You should contact gog support if you haven't already. Not sure if its corrupt on their end or just gets corrupt on the way to you, but they should beable to help you sort it.

Ouch, tough break. Of all the files in there it's hanging on the all important ReadMe.txt, go figure.
The installer was updated a while back to fix an issue with 2 or 3 cutscenes, so i guess it's possible it's corrupt somehow. I haven't downloaded the new installer, i went for the manual fix of the videos with the old one, so i can't confirm if the current installer is ok or not.
Meanwhile, i guess you could try downloading the install files with a different browser, maybe IE.
I guess you could also try creating the game folder yourself and placing a dummy ReadMe.txt in there before installing just to see if it gives you a chance to ignore or skip that file when it finds a file with the same name already in the install folder, but this one's probably a long shot.

Tried that, it didn't. The worst part is with the game folder open I can see every file being installed, and then at 99% it gets to a readme.txt and it DELETES EVERY FILE in front of my face before I can even cancel the install and try to play without the readme :<
I've even tried to copy+paste the files when it hits 98% or 99% before the wipe but that doesn't do it either.
I am so sad right now, lol.
Someone post their readme.txt? Maybe that'll work, this empty one I made isn't doing it for me.

Giving that a try.... things that also havent worked included trying to open the .bins with winrar (says corrupted file) and mounting them with daemon tools (same thing).
