I have found the barge and found out that I need money to pay them to move the train. Online walkthroughs say that I am supposed to talk to the rectors and ask for money which starts me on the 'get the bandstand working again' quest. When I go to the rectors, Kate says "Sorry to bother you again but I have a problem" to which the rectors reply with conversation about not bothering them with problems and it is now time for tea at which point the conversation automatically ends leaving me unable to ask them about anything, much less the money. I have tried fixing the bandstand and returning to the rectors but the same automatic dialogue occurs. Without the money, I can't progress in the game. Is there a limited time window for when you can ask for the money, like it can only be done at the beginning of Barrockstadt or after asking about the sauvignon grapes? Is there anything that I can do or will I have to start the game all over again? (have no saves of before Barrockstadt now)

After waiting a while for a response, I decided to start a new game and ran into similar dialogue problems in valladilene. I did a clean install, deleting my saved games in the process and that fixed the issue. The saved games occurred before I upgraded to windows 10, so my assumption is that the upgrade led to programming issues that were fixed by gog but they did not release a patch. In any case the game appears to be working now.

I have the same problem with 'asking the money' in the IPad version. Is there another solution besides instelling the game again?
