Like many here, I bought the Gold edition (w/mind games).

I ran the mind games patch, before the 1.24 gold edition patch and got an error saying some data was not installed.

I seem to be able to access Gold edition content (new races), but I am concerned I am not running with everything I should have.

I have the bug where cooking ranges are making safe meat instead of cooked, which leads me to believe I am still not fully patched (supposed to be fixed in latest version?)

Is there an easy way to fix this short of a complete reinstall?

I started a run with the Ranger, found a hiver tool and have downloaded many, many messages. I would hate to lose that progress.

dammit I can't remember exactly what's the order of installing, been too long since...
The forum should have the order here in some of the threads if you don't mind going through many pages of text.
Hmm... Have you checked what is the version number on the title screen, does it say 1.2.4?
Never experienced that safe meat bug, it's always been that safe meat comes from a purifier and cooked meat from cookers...

I'm not 100% sure, but what I did was just installing the game, then the Mindgames DLC and finally the Gold upgrade WITHOUT installing any patch. I tried installing them first but I got errors. Without patches, the game still displayed "1.2.4" in the end, the Gold logo, and the Mindgames additions. So I assume both patches are for users who have kept the old versions of the installers, and the 2.2.0 and 2.3.1 installers are already up-to-date (installing the patches "again" could then be the explanation for bugs).

I ended up running the patches again with mindgames last, and my version updated appropriately.

Is it stickied somewhere on the gamepage about install order?

Awesome game so far. I just got my Tarka Ranger to floor 26, before a large protoid dissolved almost all her gear and she later succumbed to a lack of ammo and abundance of foes.

It would be nice if GOG could have just one installer to install the main game and the 2 DLC's at once. That way the users won't get completely confused on how to install all the separate patches.
