You should install them in the order just like you attached in a screenshot :)
- base game
- Mindgames DLC
- Gold DLC
- Pilgrim DLC
After that you should have access to 9 playable characters (not including hidden one).
Hope it helps.

You have to buy them in this order as well - found out today when trying to take advantage of the summer sale

I only have the base game, so in order to have all content I would have to purchase the Mindgames DLC, the Gold edition Upgrade and then the Pilgrim DLC?

This is pretty confusing, I wish there was a STICKY detailing all this stuff.
You only have to buy the Gold version and Pilgrim. I did so during the mutator promo.

The thing is with Gold you get:

* the base game
* the mindgames DLC
* the Gold upgrade

and you have to download them all!
All three end up being in different folders (plus a forth folder for pilgrim) and then - for your first install - you have to run all installers in order of

1) base
2) mindgames
3) gold upgrade
4) pilgrim

That is what I gathered from the answers on this board and once all the installers are finished downloading Ill check it out.

After you finished installing keeping this thing updated in the future appears to be a complete different story.

Shimejibr said that he only has base game. In this case he needs Mindgames and Gold upgrade to have full Gold edition.
Yeah, it's pretty confusing at this point.

Hmmm perhaps what is confusing is perhaps the error message you get when trying to install out of order.

I got a warning the 'base game' wasn't installed, when i had in fact installed the base game, mindgames wasn't installed through. If it can detect a certain DLC/state is out of order, or what state it's in, it can then hint which file to install next and have a refresh button to re-check after you get those installed...

For now i'm going to save the order to install as a text file so i can reference it later...

Course i could always append _1, _2, _3 _4 to the folders which would do the same thing without an extra file... But then getting updates/re-downloads requires more manual intervention...

Edit: That's curious, after installing everything it only takes 1.18Gb on my drive, while all the installers combined takes up 2.91Gb... Means there's a lot of replaced/updated files between them all... Well at least it's small enough to copy to a ram drive and play that way...

Yep, right now Pilgrim DLC is actually the full Gold Edition with additional DLC content.
Kerberos made this more separated with the latest Juggernaut DLC.
So that basically means that you can have Juggeranut without Pilgrim and vice versa.

Right now GOG tries to figure out how to handle this modular DLCs. That is the reason why they hadn't released Juggeranut yet.

Well there's a few different ways to handle it...

The installer could be made multiple times, then if the compression doesn't look too wonky, combine multiple versions of the installer in a 7zip file which will grab 99% of the identical content and compress it accordingly... (then extract the installer(s) you need)

Alternatively they could make all the DLC in a row as a logical path, although it doesn't make it modular it would keep it simpler if they keep the changes minimal...

Or, depending on the files that change, diff/patch, or the DLC could be a zip file which you extract onto the main game...

Although it seems more like it might be a limitation of innosetup (although i glanced at it, it seems like a pretty powerful tool, so maybe they just don't fully know how to use it?)

Or... they could do a 'all DLCs' pack, which includes all of them, then you only have the gold version and then the DLC as one package...

GoG wasn't really built originally with DLC in mind...

In what order do i install these 4 files??
In order to make my own life easier, I've saved each file to a subdirectory in my "software" archive. The directories have the following structure:

...

Sword of the Stars - The Pit
___ Base Game
___ Expansion 1 - Mindgames
___ Expansion 2 - Gold Edition Upgrade
___ Expansion 3 - The Pilgrin
___ Expansion 4 - Juggernaut
___ Expansion 5 - Necromancer
___ Expansion 6 - The Healer (not yet available on GoG, it seems)

If they only provided them with that NOMENCLATURE in the installation files, you'd always know which file had to be installed in which order. But neither the original vendor nor GoG nor, it seems, anyone else, has bothered to do this.
