zambrey: Yep, right now Pilgrim DLC is actually the full Gold Edition with additional DLC content.
Kerberos made this more separated with the latest Juggernaut DLC.
So that basically means that you can have Juggeranut without Pilgrim and vice versa.
Right now GOG tries to figure out how to handle this modular DLCs. That is the reason why they hadn't released Juggeranut yet.
Well there's a few different ways to handle it...
The installer could be made multiple times, then if the compression doesn't look too wonky, combine multiple versions of the installer in a 7zip file which will grab 99% of the identical content and compress it accordingly... (
then extract the installer(s) you need)
Alternatively they could make all the
DLC in a row as a logical path, although it doesn't make it modular it would keep it simpler if they keep the changes minimal...
Or, depending on the files that change, diff/patch, or the
DLC could be a zip file which you extract onto the main game...
Although it seems more like it might be a limitation of innosetup (
although i glanced at it, it seems like a pretty powerful tool, so maybe they just don't fully know how to use it?)
Or... they could do a
'all DLCs' pack, which includes all of them, then you only have the gold version and then the
DLC as one package...
GoG wasn't really built originally with
DLC in mind...
