Since 4 is hard to find now except second hand market that can charge a lot more. Is it worth getting swat 4 if swat 3 is here on gog? What makes 4 better than 3? I have played 3 a long time ago so I am familiar with its features.
4, because of updated graphics, improved interface and more plot twist in missions (fairfax residence as an example). Would love to replay it again, but sadly it is not digitally release yet. :(

I am a fan of Swat 3 more. Yes, Swat 4 had more modern graphics but the gameplay sucked in many ways for coop. However I can understand why people would prefer Swat 4 for adversarial games.

Swat 4 had fake mirrors and non realistic magical doors that always opened both ways. The game balance and fun was wrecked IMHO by some of the LTL weapons and the lack of ability for the host of the game to control which weapons were available.

I also remember having stutter issues with Swat 4 every time the enemy AI would fire. There would be a slight lag as soon as you got into a firefight. I tried the game on several different machines years ago and it would always happen.
I second Slippery Jim on this.

SWAT 3 felt much more like an actual attempt at a SWAT Simulation. Overall I feel it is the more rewarding tactical/ police experience.

SWAT 4 - while having updated graphics compared to swat 3 , I felt it was lacking in both graphics and game play. Especially when you consider it came out about 2 years after Rainbow Six 3 raven shield and that was a better tactical game than SWAT 4. In Rainbow Six , with good shooting and some shock and awe you could make terrorists surrender and arrest them even.

I have SWAT 4 on disc but have only installed it and replayed it once since it originally came out - While I have consistently come back to SWAT 3 over the years.
