I just purchased/installed SWAT 4 gold edition today (Dec. 13th 2020) and it is crashing upon launch, before it gets to the main menu. I am getting the following error message:

I have tried running the program as the administrator, there is no swat4.ini file (closest file type is .INT), I changed the compatibility mode, I have uninstalled/reinstalled, still no luck. Can anyone help me figure out why this is doing this?

The ini file you are looking for should be located in the subdirectory \SWAT 4\Content\System\, not in the main directory. Try deleting the file if it is present in that folder.

Anyway have you a multi-monitor system? I'm asking because some users reported problems using a second monitor.

I know this post is about a year old but I'm having the same issue with the general protection error when I launch the game is there any fix or solution?
