Just downloaded SWAT 3 and was having some trouble getting the installer to run (would stall just after the file integrity check). Task Manager showed it running in Processes, but after waiting 5 minutes I gave up. Finally decided to turn off UAC (I'm on Vista64) and got the installer to start up!
I'm calling it quits on UAC. It seems like a good idea, but I've had all sorts of problems with it over the years (like modding GTA San Andreas, it puts modded gta3.img files in this Virtual Store folder...created much confusion). Anyway, I'm also tired of the pop-up warnings and my computer seems much more like my Win98SE Lite did back in da day with it OFF. I guess Windows Security Alert (system) is next on my list....
Oh yeah, there's a bit of a problem with the installer, the pathname for the install directory is in the incorrect place. Kind of a typo, but easily fixed.
