Slippery_Jim: Okay one suggestion is to try an app called DxWnd.

The maker of the app reports that he has several fixes for Swat 3 related to this movie crash issue.

well im testing around and sofar no luck but im digging though the swat 3 discussion on his sourceforge.net forum. Maybe i find something i might make something work with it. quick question what Codec package would you recommend to play your converted movie files? atm for xvid i'm running with thier stand xvic codec from the player software.

Yup standard official XVID codec is good. If the movies play in media player they should in Swat 3.

allright then im fine i guess, so i tried several configurations with the tool you mentioned but nothing worked so far
