I recently installed SWAT 3 on my PC and I am using Last Resort plus dgVoodoo2 but for some reason I get a pop up error message that says "error loading cursor.bmp". If anyone knows what would be a good fix for this please respond.

First thing I would try is eliminating problems.

* Did you know that newer versions of Windows don't support the Swat 3 movies? You get strange crashes and funny things happening when you first start up Swat 3. The movies are encoded with a video codec that is no longer supplied with Windows. You have to either manually install a codec pack to fix this or replace the movies with versions that are encoded with a more modern codec (like XVID).

* Turn off the Last Resort mod with the toggle switch at the top right. Try to run vanilla Swat 3 now.

* temporarily remove any mods you have in the MODS folder. Try running Swat 3 again. Sometimes you get mod conflicts or bad mods that cause funny issues.

* temporarily remove any downloaded maps in the MISSIONS folder. Try running Swat 3 again.

* Do you have Swat 3 installed in the "Program Files (x86)" folder or the "Program Files"? on the drive you have Windows running on (drive C: usually) Newer versions of Windows are very protective of applications store there. Highly recommended to re-install it elsewhere.

* If you have installed the Galaxy client they have a built in feature to verify your files to make sure nothing got corrupted. This will write over your "swat.cfg" file so you will lose your key assignments. Make a backup first. Also any movies you replaced with fixed versions encoded with a different codec will get overwritten once again with the originals.

You bring up a lot of good points which I hadn't thought about before, and will indeed try them. I appreciate your reply and will comment back when all is working well.

Hope you get it back up and running. There are so few of us left using Swat 3 we have to help people so they don't just give up :)
