So I launch Swat 3, the intro movie plays, but as soon as the intro finishes the screen goes black, however, the music can still be heard. How can I fix this problem? Also, I feel I should add that the game has worked before, if only once, and everything worked fine.

Is this a GOG version or retail?

This sounds like a variation of a problem caused by the fact that newer versions of Windows don't include a codec that the movies are encoded with.
