When ever I boot up this game, the physical parts of my computer makes a high pitched noise and it also varies in pitch depending on what is on the screen. I can play other games and it runs quietly and gently but SWAT 4 makes me concerned something bad is going to happen. Did I accidentally download a bomb along side with this game?

You should clean your machine, Wath other games do you play on it?

It probably runs at like 2000 fps and you get GPU coil whine. Enable vsync ingame or forced in your GPU control panel which will lock the fps to your monitor refresh rate as max or use something like MSI Afterburner to limit max framerate without vsync.

Check the forum the -nointro flag helped me. It makes my display go nuts. after doing the flag and ini changes it runs great now.

It's the Vsync.

For the base game, follow these instructions and set the UseVSync value to True.

For The Stetchkov Syndicate, they were sensible to put it in the settings menu, so tick that option there.
