I have tried every method under the sun to get speech recognition to work, I've tried them all with Elite Force and Speech Recognition Improvement, but nothing works. I've changed my speech recognition language to English - US from English - UK, I've installed the en-US speech runtime, I've set up speech recognition within Windows - nothing works.

I can get the speech recognition box in-game to be checkable by changing the LangID to 809 (UK), but it still doesn't work in-game.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I know it's late, but just in case. You have to find the assigned button for it in commands I believe from controls. Then assign a key to turn it off and on. It has none by default.
