Did the recent windows update break Surviving Mars (GOG)?

Update ran for me last night. Now Surviving Mars won't load. Gives white screen, with a very faint pale blue arrow cursor floating in it.
Won't load from GOG Galaxy, either from the game list or from the Play button.
Won't load from the .exe file in the folder.

Anyone else encounter something similar?

Any mods reading here that can pass this along?

I'll try to communicate more with GOG and Paradox and Haemimont later, gotta crash now after all-niter.

Other games from GOG do run. Well, Rebel Galaxy, anyway. I was playing it last night.
Does this still happen to you and if not how did you manage to resolve it? Have you tried updating to the newest video drivers? Any more info would be helpful to find out what's the problem.

In separate inquiry via the Paradox Bug reports forum, problem was solved via recommended video driver update.
I have auto updates set, and I forced one after the problem cropped up, via Windows10, but that effort had not found the most recent driver for my old (7 yrs) graphics chip.
Paradox tech Andrew T. looked at diag files he requested from me, and found a much newer driver on Nvidia site.
Manual download and install of the new video driver did the trick.

There was at least one other user that joined the Paradox Support discussion who had the same problem. Win10's most recent update rendered the older video driver wierd just for Surviving Mars. My other games, even recent ones like the most recent Pillars of Eternity expansion, continued to run fine.

So, short version: Solved by Paradox Support. White screen > video driver update > OK. Paradox tech was Andrew T.

Thanks so much for your response. Sorry I did not get back to you quicker, but when I came back after this past weekend, I got started looking on the Paradox thread 1st.

this may be a bump but it's revelant. The latest update that dropped today broke MOST of the mods on Steam, including the popular ones. I can't even find a working radio station to see what has changed. It's a good thing the patch is delayed here as mods need to be updated for those that play with them (the cheat menu for example is disabled due to incompatability)
