I've been playing the game for a while now and I looked at the stretch goal for the game and it looks like you were going to be able to go to the Dreamlands. Does anyone know if this is still possible in the game? And if not, possible DLC?

If you rest after getting the quest from the woman in the french ward you go to what I believe is the dreamlands where you talk to her husband and have guess his name. Not sure if this is what you are talking about though.
Sounds good. thanks for responding.

I wonder, is there any kind of manual? The game has anawful lot of systems and no tutorial (thank god! That would've killed the atmosphere...). I like to try things out, but I don't wantto be bitten in the ass.
I could be wrong, but it seems trial and error is part of the design. There doesn't appear to be manual saves, a meter counts up negative encounters, then of course the madness aspect.

I have it only on Steam right now, and from some Dev comments in those forums they expect a high replay value, especially with different character builds.

You may have to embrace the DF attitude of "Losing is Fun" for at least the first couple tries.

I had a materialistic aristocrat trigger a fail state in the demo because he sold the zero key for 1000 cigs and then unable to ever find the dismal man he wandered the streets of arkham and eventually went insane.

After returning from the distillery, an NPC will speak to you near the mansion in the French Hills near the edge of the map. He will offer meeting with his mistress. This meeting will take place in
dreamland.
