Hi all, was just wondering if anyone else has been having trouble with downloading Stronghold? I've tried numerous times with the browser and the GOG downloader and i'm getting the same result. The browser reaches 99% then hangs, and the GOG downloader pauses when you would expect it to complete - once you resume the download I get an error message saying 'it was unable to request the file - all transfers are cancelled'. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be grateful.
ps: I'm having no trouble downloading any other files from the website, I've downloaded Redneck Rampage, Lure of the Temptress, Beneath a Steel Sky, Abe's Oddysee and various manuals etc

If you haven't done so already I would contact GOG support and tell them of your issue with downloading the game.

Yeah I contacted them yesterday but haven't heard anything yet though. Had a similar problem with Beneath a Steel Sky today too, but after some experimenting I have managed to sort out the issue for both downloads; I simply paused the download in the GOG downloader when it was nearing 100% and then resumed it - sorted it for some reason. Don't know whether it was coincidence but after attempting to download Stronghold 6 times over the course of 2 days, and to no avail, it must have have helped remedy the problem in some way or another. Would like to know what would cause this to happen though...

Try pausing and restarting the download in either the browser or the downloader. I heard that this helps with troublesome downloads.
