Hi there, I'm sure this question has been asked before but I'm on the move at the moment.

In game, I can only bring the resolution to 1024x760 or whatever; I can't go higher than that.

Where do I increase this to 1900x1080???
Same problem here--

Just installed Stronghold HD ver.1.3 on my laptop and it only offers me 1024 x 768 and 800 x 600. I have the same version on my desktop system, and it runs fine at 1650 x 1080.

Both systems are running Windows 7. The laptop resolution is 1200 x 800. Is this resolution not supported?

Are there any command line or config options available to fix this?
Bump :(
OK, I got it working on my laptop at 1280x720. Had to install old ATI Radeon drivers from the Vista era. My laptop video is DX9 only and current ATI drivers apparently don't fully support DX9 on Windows 7, which causes problems for some games and graphic apps.

Still not full 1280x800, but close. I'll continue experimenting.

No way man...I paid for Stronghold HD

Emphasis on HD

Where is my 1900x1080 am I missing something fundamentally simple?

Hey dude, its because we installed Stronghold Classic not HD, there's 2 different installs!
Is not possibile to have 1280x800 as res?
Only 1280x720?

Then you're limited to 1024x768. Only Stronghold HD will do the higher resolutions.

1280x800 is a common resolution and I would think that Stronghold HD would support it on most systems. This particular laptop is five years old with obsolete ATI X1200 DX9 graphics--that's why it has the problem.

Still haven't found a solution, but if 1280x720 is all I can do on this laptop, that's fine. I mainly play Stronghold HD on my desktop system.

The problem is that seems impossible to use a custom res!
I can't see where is possibile to change te res!
I'm running it at 1920x1200 without any difficulty. Windows 7.

Make sure you install the "HD" version, and not "classic".

For sure I've installed the HD version...But I've never seen a choice window!
Just downloaded the HD one.

Just downloaded the HD one.
The classic is a separate download in the "bonus download" section.

The HD version of the game install is "setup_stronghold_hd_2.1.0.4.exe" 615 mb
The Classic version of the game install file is just "setup_stronghold.exe" 590 mb

It's easy to install the classic version and not realize that is the wrong one as there is no choice as the installers are separate files. I would just double check to make sure the install file you used match the one I referenced above with appropriate file size. Hope this helps, it's a fun game! :)
