If you enter William as your name in Stronghold Crusader the game will recognize it and call you William when you start it up. It may know other names but so far all I heard was William.

It does indeed recognize other names; I've heard it call me "Lord Stephen".

Yup, I remember playing this on a LAN when it was new, but I did find it stumbled on complicated names and didnt try... I heard when the different PCs fired it up .... Greetings lord Bob, lord Vince, lord David and mine... llloord with a sound of confusion, which made it that much funnier to me.
