So I'd really like to play Stronghold Crusader Extreme HD in 1280x800 but the game will only allow me to choose 1280x720 (even though other 16:10 resolutions are available). No problem, I figure, I'll just edit the config file to a custom resolution like nearly every other game on earth.

BUT when I open crusaderExtreme.cfg, I get a bunch of unreadable garbage instead of something that I can edit. I've only seen this sort of thing in the worst console ports around so I'm not sure why a PC-exclusive game would hide options like these from the end-user.

Help please.
