As of today, GOG users can download Steam Workshop items for Stronghold Crusader II, as well as Space Colony and Stronghold Warlods. Just pick your favourite method (be it external websites or the Steam commandline) and you're good to go! I know it's not the same as native support but at least we have an option now.
