Even though I purchased Stronghold & Crusader as soon as they were available I didn't install Crusader until today. GOG is driving me crazy with all these games. I don't have time to play them all!
Anyway, did anybody notice that the Read Me that comes with Crusader is the Crusader Extreme Read Me? I couldn't find a mention of this in this forum.
As far as I can tell Crusader Extreme is not included even though there is a Crusader Extreme Uninstall icon in Add/Remove programs. There are several references to Stronghold Crusader Extreme in the registry after this install.
Big question is, was "Extreme" supposed to be included? Or was the wrong installer used?
And another thing, the files contained in the bonus characters download are already installed in the normal install. So why make them a separate download when they are of no use unless installed in the game?

SHCE featured Vista compatible versions of both SHC, and SHCE, so they probably just used that exe, as for the bonus characters - perhaps they're doing it so people that wanted the bonus characters only (already have the game) could get them. Because, until Extreme (which is 30$), a lot of countries didn't have access to the WarChest with the bonus AI.

Thanks. That makes sense.
I guess it wasn't worth the time and trouble to clean up the installer a little bit. The Read Me had me wondering what game I was supposed to have.
I sent a support message but they never answered.
I just heard from Support. They are planning on fixing this.
I just mentioned in the other Stronghold thread, Stronghold Extreme was only released a few months ago. They upped the challenge (and the troop limit by a huge margin.) to make it more challenging for people that found the original too easy even on the hardest setting.
