That's a hard pass. I do understand that devs maybe don't have resources to release the game with multiplayer that works for all PC releases. But selling the game for the same price as Steam version with multiplayer... The game should be like 60% of Steam version price. Also considering coronavirus situation local multiplayer is out of question for many people.
Grotok2003: I was all excited about this game coming to GOG until I read that post. And if I read correctly, not even multiplayer locally, single player only. No controller support either. Seriously Lizardcube.
Wrong. Local multiplayer is here, game got full controller support for all versions, not only that but you can select what controller buttons will be displayed - XBox, PS4 or Switch. But no online multiplayer for the same price as Steam version made it obvious where to get the game.
Garrison72: Why no online for GOG?
mdecorde: 1) why indeed
2) and why should online features depends on gog/steam/whatever stores ?
Because developers are too lazy or don't have enough resources to use their own network code and servers.
But there's literally nothing that prevents you from making game supporting GOG Galaxy AND Steam at once and even creating a bridge between them. It's all about developers having enough time, will, money and skills to do that.
