I'm not sure if I'm understanding your question but I will try to answer it.
Typically you only need a 32 bit executable if you're running a 32 bit Operating System, such as Windows XP (Or older) or 32bit Vista/7/8/10 - You can find out which type of OS you are using by typing "System" in the search bar - it should pop up with "System" or "System Information" - one of the two - and it will list if you are running a 32 bit or 64 bit OS.
Typically, if you have a 64 bit OS, you almost always want the 64 bit version, because it utilizes the operating system better, allows more RAM usage, etc.

EDIT: When you type "system" into the search bar, make sure it's the search bar for your Windows, and NOT Internet Explorer/Chrome/FireFox.
