Any way to strafe in this game? I know it is not enabled by default, but I was hoping/wondering if anyone here possibly would know how to implement a strafe hack.
That would be so awesome if anyone knew how to do this! I think it would improve gameplay...

The game wasn't made with strafing in mind so the only way I believe this would be possible is with a 3rd party hack. Unfortunatly I don't know of any myself and a quick google came up with nothing.

The game only offers Forward, Back, and Right and Left 90 Degree Turns. Once you get the hang of it it seems to work out fine.
Remember, the characters you fight can only move in the same manner as yourself.
Some battles are made a bit easier if you constantly turn in the same direction while fighting. If you want to know where just let me know and I will give you a hint. I do not want to spoil it for you.
Not sure if you are use to the game but as you travel, constantly check the walls for blocks that can be clicked on, you will find useful items as you travel.
Iirc. turning around doesn't count as a turn so you can really use this to your advantage.

This is 65% of why I would like to strafe. Looking for hidden switches and wall compartments when you cannot strafe is a serious task. TURN, LOOK FOR SECRET, TURN BACK, FORWARD, TURN, LOOK FOR SECRET, rinse, repeat. It's kind of an unnecessary pain. If you could strafe, it would be like... STRAFE, LOOK, STRAFE, LOOK.
Also, not being able to strafe from behind a corner to attack enemies is annoying. Enemies waiting around corners get the jump on you even if they see you. battle generally goes like this: SEE ENEMY, TURN LEFT, WALK FORWARD, GET HIT IMMEDIATELY FROM THE RIGHT SIDE, TURN RIGHT, GET HIT AGAIN, THEN ATTACK THEM once you are fully facing them again right in front of them.
I suppose this is supposed to make up for the fact that enemies cannot walk through doors or move more than 10 paces in any direction?

Only the developers will know that, could be to make up for those things, could be a limitation with the engine they used or it might just be no one thought about how helpful strafe would be so they didn't add it when making the game. I can think of quite a few games where a feature, even something you can turn on in the options would help make a game much easier to get along with, that you would think would be a common sense thing to include, that just isn't in the game.
