I just managed to run my copy of Stonekeep on MacBook 13''. I am using latest Boxer and it is working like a breeze.
Steps:
1. Install Stonekeep into VMware and VirtualBox.
2. Copy Stonekeep folder from virtual machine to your desktop.
3. Drag folder from your desktop into Boxer.
4. Go into {User}\DOS Games and right click "Show Package Content"
5. With TextEdit copy content of dosbox.conf into DOSBox Preferences.conf.
6. Use img2icns to make nice icon. manual.pdf is good input.
7. Clean up your Desktop and Virtual Machine.
8. Done!
