I have played a lot with the DosBox config stuff, particularly "output and full and window-resolution, but nothing works. am in pits trying to climb a ladder after getting ye olde blue howling fox key, but it climbs the ladder, then jams, often with repeating click sound from loop. Requires killing via task mgr.
I did play it from the beginning, but part way through Throggi (by Throggi!), it started jamming.
I used a save game from InterPlay, and that got me from there through the gate when it started acting up again. So I used the InterPlay save game for the Gate, but it jams within a few minutes (pull transfer lever down, jump down hole, get key, and try to climb up.
Any ideas?
After posting this I will go and d/l a new copy of DosBox and try again.....

updating from .70 to .74 and/or getting a new config file did it. Works like a charm now!!!!!!!

Good to hear you got it working. You can't mark your own post as a the solution only a member of the gog staff can mark a thread authors posts as such. Also hopefully with this new 0.74 dosbox build thats seems to have better compatibility, gog will update some of the game installers to include it.
Yes, this seems like a definite winner - plays much faster - I can "play ahead" without fear of crashing it. Nice!!!
