Hi all

I played this game (like everyone else it seems, lol) ages ago - but I seem to have run across a problem that I can't figure out. I am in the ice queen's level -- have the coldfire and Enigma is in my party. Have completely explored the area.

The ice queen is a no - show, even after going tothe peaceful sharga leader and having him open the way to what should be the ice queen's area.

The only oddity I remember is that I didn't run into her over by the healy puddle. (no idea why not either.)

Have got warming rune on everyone, but that's the only spell.

Ideas? Thoughts?

I'm not sure what the issue is, but something I remember from when I played the level is that the Ice Queen should show up if you are using the first Orb to map the local area (this is the Saturn orb that you find in the first level... when you drop it on the ground in front of you it displays a map of the area immediately around you, including whether there are monsters present). I found this because I hadn't yet opened the path to the Ice Queen's lair but I could see it on the orb's map, and I could see that there was a hostile enemy waiting there, which turned out to be the queen. So try dropping the orb and see if any hostiles show up.

Are you actually able to go all the way to her throne, without her showing up? My memory is that she pops up right as you're approaching the throne.

Anyone else know if this is some kind of bug? Or if there's another event you need to trigger before she'll show up?

Oh, I have not tried the orb -- I'll give that a go-- maybe I missed something.

Okay. Tried the orb; apparently the passage the peaceful sharga opened up does not go all the way to the queen's throne. I can see (via the orb) there's an area I cannot access. hm.

The only thing I can think of is that she didn't show up to threaten the party by the heal puddle to the southeast. (I have tried going back there, and clicking on the puddle, but no go.)
