Not that it would be possible, but since the development environment for Stonekeep was lost a long time ago, I wonder if it would ever be possible at some point for the game to be reverse-engineered? I know one reason is to enable it to be played at higher resolutions, but another would be to fix the remaining bugs and patch the game further. I know of some bugs that still remain:

Bugs on Level 6:
Potency meta rune scroll in position of chest containing Stoneshooter piece #3 but outside it.

Bugs on Level 10:
Door just before gate to Palace of Shadows starts out unlocked and cannot be locked until a later visit. It should start out locked.

Bugs on Level 11:
1. Teleporters with walls that appear when you approach lose their sound effects after you revisit their areas. An oddity.
2. Picking up Marif's orb sometimes doesn't trigger the conversation. It always should.
3. The Shadow Skulls south of the Yin symbol aren't visible and aren't attacking but can be destroyed from a distance with Black Slayer Arrows.
4. Teleporting to one of the four corner areas causes Floating Skulls or Shadow Skulls you walk past to disappear and become bugged like those in #3.

I would like bug #3 in the Palace of Shadows to be fixed if it could be done. I'd like to be able to face those enemies in the proper manner.
Dead Forum Post, I know.

But I wanted to weigh in on this anyway. Been playing this game longer than many people have been alive tbh.

If this game ends up getting reverse engineered, could someone please make a level editor? It would be great to edit existing maps to link up secret rooms that aren't actually accessible. For example on the dwarven level, there's a secret area, probably cut content, that has the Rune Armor laying around in.

In addition it would be nice to add custom levels and quests and items to the game to extend the adventure out considerably. This is, when you think about it, a rather short adventure.
