I honestly think that this game doesn`t need time limit for quests like extermination or searching for supplies. It gets very confusing and frustrating when you need to get 11 kills in 18 turns and only manage to get 3 because game simply doesnt spawn enemies. You simply walk across the barren bottom of the ocean, spamming flares in hope to find at least something... Then clock strikes 0 and you lose - because of what? Extremely bad luck? Well, I had such bad luck twice in a row.

I love this game, its atmosphere, visuals and sound, tactics and base management. But time limit kills it for me.

Considering that the vast majority of games (in general, not just in the tb strategy genre) opt for not designing around time restraints at all I can appreciate at least a few games dare making use of them.
Especially when the setting lends itself rather well to having limited time at your disposal, like in Stirring Abyss' case.

I guess it's a matter of taste or how much punishment one is willing to take but me personally, I don't mind having put the pressure on me, time-wise.

Maybe the devs can add an optional "no time limits" mode or something? I'd be fine with that, as long as the default mode WITH time limits intact is retained.
