Post Mortem is the first game in the series and I've seen it on sale a few times now but haven't bitten. Is it worth it to get? The game is a first person adventure, right? I've not really played any first person adventures so I'm slightly wary on whether or not I'll like it, what do you guys think?

i downloaded from steam last year, its not as good as still life
IMO first person perspective is always bit awkward in adventure games, but in Post Mortem it works relatively well.

Game itself has interesting story, which allows you to solve the game in several different ways. There's only few endings, but how you get there is different experience each time you play the game, because your actions affect to both story and puzzles which you will encounter later.

Personally I did enjoy it, but it's user interface and graphics feel much more dated than those of Still Life. Despite that it's a nice, if somewhat unpolished, game.
To me, the graphics seem somewhat Impressionistic or similar, although maybe I'm just letting myself be influenced by the fact that that Gus is trying to be an artist.

While I think the game is worthwhile, the dialog tree is problematic. Unlike most adventure games, when you go down one branch in PM you can't pick up on others. The first time I played I just happened to make all the dialog choices that failed to give me any real knowledge of what was going on in the story. I had to play a second time simply in order to get the details about what it was all about. So it's a good idea to save the game before talking to a new person because often you have to play with the various dialog choices to hit on the path that will get you the most info, because once the game says you're done talking to someone, you're done.
Can you skip the dialogue in GoGs version. I got this game before it was on GoG and I remember the really annoying thing about it was it forced you to listen to all the talking!!
