The latest change PENALISES larger empires.

The change of administration from reducing empire sprawl to creating unity has, in my opinion, killed the game.
Now there's NO WAY to reduce empire sprawl / size except to create vassels, but you probably don't want to create vassels as you loose the resources (research, storage, etc) created by them.

Everything has cost lined to empire sprawl.
For example : my technology cost has gone from 375k to 8,136k (8.1M) due to my large empire having 21k sprawl.

Before this change, I would agree with 5 stars rating.

Now I give it ZERO to one stars and will probably STOP playing.

Not going to argue with you here. If you feel that way, then roll it back to 3.2.2 and wait for 3.4 to see what gets fixed, or wait for mods to balance the game if the devs wont.
if you dont have the Aquatics Dlc then 3.2.1.1 is the more stable build however the idea that empire sprawl kills the game is odd since it basically resets things to before they added book keepers as a way to kill sprawl being an issue

as a rule of thumb big empires cost more to run and study less than small empires
