The GOG store page for Stellaris: Nova Edition says "The Stellaris soundtrack delivers two and a half hours of original music, including bonus tracks and alternate versions not included in the game" as well as "MP3 and lossless FLAC are included".

The GOG store page for Stellaris: Complete Soundtrack says "With the full score from the initial game, along with new tracks from expansion content such as Apocalypse, Distant Stars, and more, this soundtrack contains a total of 47 tracks, with over four hours of music", but does not specify format.

Are these really two separate soundtracks, or did someone simply forget to update the Nova Edition page when music was added to the soundtrack? In other words, does the Nova Edition soundtrack really contain only 2.5 hours or is it the full 4+ hours? Also, can someone specify in which format(s) the Stellaris: Complete Soundtrack is/are provided?

I have the Galaxy version but that has the same sound files as the smaller Nova (you are not missing much I just wanted to support the devs)

the sound files gog are talking about are 2.1G worth of extras you find in the galaxy "backups and goodies" folders... you have to actually tell galaxy to download to get them and they come in "stellaris_ost.zip" and has all the music as both mp3 + flac files

YES the new MegaCorp is included which adds 4 more songs so some of us will have to download this folder again now... thanks for the reminder

the music you hear in game is the better .org files that are in your game install folder under Music or dlc-name i.e, each dlc that adds music will have its own folder and the two or three songs it adds will be in there... that is because you can disable any dlc mod from the in game ui if you don't want to play with robots just for this next one game for example

p.s, yes you can add whatever music you like to the gamelist but be aware that mp3 files don't sound as good and if your system doesn't have the correct codex they will not play at all... this has nothing to do with Paradox or gog
