I cannot play the latest version of the game without being connected to the internet to set up an account. This is clearly a form of DRM and is the reason I shop at GOG and not Steam. Therefor I would like a store credit for this game. Regards,
Peter

Hello,
You cannot get a refund through the forums. I just tried the newest version of the game while I had no internet connection and I was able to play. The default launcher is the Paradox launcher and it does a phone home. If you launch the game via the executable then you can play the game without an internet connection.

Stellaris is not DRMd on GOG. You can launch it through stellaris.exe (on the installation folder) without an Internet connection. If you installed Stellaris through Galaxy I think it opens the Paradox launcher by default; I used the offline installers.

I’ve been playing Stellaris for years without the need for a Paradox account. This is still the case with game version 3.3.

Keeping in mind that I do not use GOG Galaxy.
Very good. I will install again and try but unless something has changed I had no luck with that exe.
Nothing has changed since the last time we talked

The paradox system isn't blocking Gog users on DRM grounds its just badly coded to phone home and wasn't tested before pushing out to the public

For a refund you go to your orders tab and click on the support link next to the game you have issues with [see image 1&2]

Same here (linux) and I don't need a Paradox account in 3.4.2 either.
The only "problem" here is based in the fact, that the starting shortcut runs the paradox launcher, not the actual game, but the launcher and the Account for it are totally optional. You can still run "stellaris.exe" by yourself, skipping the launcher and use everything.
